危险古迹

அஸ்தினாபுரம் என்கிற ஒரு மலைக்கிராமத்தில் 1950, 1977, 1999 என மூன்று காலகட்டங்களில் கதை நடக்கிறது. அங்கே ஆங்கிலேயர் ஒருவரால் சாத்தான் வழிபாடு தொடங்கப்பட்டதாக ஒரு கற்பனையை வரலாறுபோல் விவரிக்கிறது படத்தின் தொடக்கம். அதாவது, அஸ்தினாபுரத்தில் வாழும் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட பழங்குடி மக்கள், காக்கை உருவத்தில் சாத்தானை வழிபடுகின்றனர். அதற்கு மனித உயிர்களைப் பலி கொடுத்தால் தங்களுக்கு நல்லது நடக்கும் என்று நம்பி ஒரு சடங்கை நிறைவேற்றுகின்றனர்.
　　ஆனால், அதில் ஒரு தவறு நடந்துவிடுகிறது. அந்தத் தவறு பல தலைமுறைகளாக அந்த ஊரின் மீதான சாத்தானின் சாபமாக மாறிவிடுகிறது. அந்த ஊரின் கிறிஸ்தவப் பள்ளியில் பயில வருகிறான் நாயகன் (சுழல் இணையத் தொடர் புகழ் எஃப்.ஜே). அவன் காதலிக்கும் தன்னுடைய வகுப்புத் தோழியான ஐராவின் (சுவாதி கொலை வழக்குப் படப் புகழ்) அம்மா மோனா சாத்தானின் மீடியமாக மாறிவிடுகிறார்.
　　இப்போது எஃப்.ஜே, அவனுடைய தோழி மற்றும் அந்த ஊரின் காவல்துறை, ஊர் மக்கள், அந்த ஊரின் பாதிரியார், பள்ளியின்தலைமை மதர் உள்ளிட்ட பலராலும் சாத்தானின் நகர்வுகளைத் தடுக்க முடிந்ததா? சாத்தான் எப்படியெல்லாம் தன்னுடைய ஆட்டத்தை ஆடினான், நிகழ்காலத் தலைமுறையில் அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கத் தயாரான நரபலி தடுக்கப்பட்டதா என்பது கதை.

Mata follows the story of a French secret agent who is wounded during a covert mission in Niger.
